Students at Herrington Elementary are getting their hands dirty with FoodCorps Michigan Service Member Lauryn Hong and the Wayne State University Center for School Health. Here’s what they told FOX 2 Detroit that they’re learning in the school garden:
“You have always have to work hard to achieve what you want.”
“It made me feel good because I actually got to plant something and it came out good.”
“I’m learning to take responsibilities and learning how to do stuff on my own.”
